O’Neal Appointed to County Local Share Account Review Committee

HARRISBURG –Rep. Tim O’Neal (R-Washington) recently was appointed to the County of Washington Local Share Account (LSA) Review Committee.

The committee is charged with reviewing all requests for LSA funding from the county’s share of gaming revenues derived from The Meadows Racetrack and Casino. It then recommends to the county commissioners which requests should be funded. LSA funds can be used for economic development, job training, community improvement and public interest projects in Washington County.

“It is an honor to have been selected to join this committee,” O’Neal said. “I look forward to assisting with the economic growth of the county.”

The committee consists of one representative from each borough, city and township in the county and two members of the legislative delegation.

The 48th Legislative District in Washington County includes the city of Washington; Chartiers, North Franklin, North Strabane and South Strabane townships; and Canonsburg, East Washington and Houston boroughs.
