Shredding Event
Saturday, Sept. 21, 9-11 a.m.
Ringgold Middle School

I am co-hosting with Rep. Andrew Kuzma a free on-site document shredding event. No more than three grocery bags or small boxes per household are permitted. All bags or boxes of items to be shredded must be placed in the trunk of the vehicle. Once you arrive at the event, please open your trunk and stay inside your vehicle. The items will be removed, boxes will be returned to the trunk, and your trunk will then be shut. This is for personal items only. No businesses, please. No large binder clips or hardbound covers will be accepted. Materials more than one-inch thick will need to be broken down prior to being put through the machines. My staff and I will be available to assist and provide information regarding consumer protection and identity theft.
 

Washington County Senior Expo

Again this year, I will be co-hosting the Washington County Senior Expo at the Washington Crown Center Mall with Southwestern Pennsylvania Area Agency on Aging, Sen. Camera Bartolotta, and Washington County Commissioners Nick Sherman, Electra Janis and Larry Maggi. More than 100 vendors and representatives from local, state and federal agencies are expected to be on hand to answer questions and provide information on topics such as Social Security, transportation, Medicare, legal services, in-home services, legislation, consumer protection, long-term care and utility services. 

 
Seniors for Safe Driving

I am teaming up with Seniors for Safe Driving to offer a PennDOT-approved course to seniors 55 and older living in the 48th Legislative District. By taking the course, participants will learn about current rules of the road, defensive driving techniques and how to operate their vehicle safely in today’s increasingly challenging driving environment. This is classroom instruction only. No on-the-road driving or classroom testing will occur.
