HARRISBURG – Rep. Tim O’Neal (R-Washington) today announced a $999,940 Local Share Account grant for a new municipal building was awarded to North Strabane Township by the Commonwealth Financing Authority (CFA).

“This new building will be an asset to the community and is needed to help better serve its residents,” O’Neal said. “North Strabane has grown by leaps and bounds since the original building was opened more than 40 years ago.”

The grant will be used to construct a new two-story administration building in the township. It will house administrative offices and community spaces. This includes basketball courts, locker rooms, community rooms, restrooms, township offices, tax offices, a supervisors’ chamber room and sewer authority offices.
