HARRISBURG – Rep. Tim O’Neal (R-Washington) today announced he will host a Veterans Brunch on Friday, May 26, between Armed Forces Day and Memorial Day.
The free event will be held from 10 a.m. to noon at the South Franklin Volunteer Fire Department Social Hall, 101 Jolly School Road, Washington. Pennsylvania Treasurer Stacy Garrity, a retired U.S. Army reserve colonel, is the keynote speaker. RSVPs are required by Friday, May 12, by calling his district office at 724-223-4541 or visiting

“As a veteran myself, I know the sacrifices those who have served in our military have made to protect our freedoms,” O’Neal said. “I host this annual event as just a small way to say thank you from one veteran to another. Prior attendees have enjoyed the shared comradery. I encourage all veterans living in the 48th Legislative District to attend.”
The 48th Legislative District in Washington County covers the city of Washington; Amwell, part of Carroll (Districts 3, 4 and 5), East Finley, Fallowfield, Morris, North Franklin, part of North Strabane (Districts 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5), Nottingham, Somerset, South Franklin, South Strabane, and West Finley townships; and the boroughs of Donora, East Washington and Green Hills.
