O’Neal, Ortitay to Host Sportsmen’s Expo
April 18, 2019
HARRISBURG –Reps. Tim O’Neal (R-Washington) and Jason Ortitay (R-Washington/Allegheny) will be holding a free Sportsmen’s Expo on Saturday, April 27, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at North Franklin Volunteer Fire Hall, 565 Sylvan Drive, Washington.
“I’m pleased to joined Rep. Ortitay in hosting this fun, informative event,” O’Neal said. “We are lucky to have a variety of outdoor offerings in the area. I’m looking forward to assisting my constituents in learning about hidden treasures in our community.”
“The weather has finally warmed up, and winter is behind us,” Ortitay said. “Many people have cabin fever and are eager to head outdoors to enjoy all that the area has to offer in sportsmen’s opportunities. I encourage people to attend this event to gather information to plan their outdoor activities for the coming months.”
The event will include a number of vendors from throughout southwestern Pennsylvania showcasing sportsmen’s activities and ways to become more active in the outdoors this summer. Information will be provided about local hiking, biking, hunting, camping and fishing opportunities. In addition, the event will include educational talks, demonstrations and hands-on activities. State agencies and the two legislative offices also will be providing hunting regulations, laws and other important information.
The 48th Legislative District in Washington County includes the city of Washington; Chartiers, North Franklin, North Strabane and South Strabane townships; and Canonsburg, East Washington and Houston boroughs.
